Paul Barratt has died after a long illness. He was a distinguished public servant and in later life an advocate for important causes. He will be greatly missed.
Obituary in Pearls & Irritations from Alison Broinowski. The obituary stresses Paul’s passion, through Australians for War Powers Reform, for ensuring that Australians have a say through the Parliament in decisions to go to war. This seems particularly appropriate in the era of AUKUS and ‘the drums of war’.
