An American offers a note on Australian football – and does it in one long, lyrical paragraph. He is from the Pacific North-West so perhaps we should expect this. We await his attempt to make something lyrical out of either code of Rugby. There is, however, one unpleasant sentence. ‘A man near me was shouting so angrily that I saw spittle on his chin.’ Clearly not a Swans supporter.
