The article looks at the ministerial workload implications of the machinery of government changes under Prime Minister Turnbull. Unlike any of his predecessors since 1976, Stuart Robert MP has a full-size ministerial role (Human Services) as well as Veterans’ Affairs and the Centenary of Anzac. The workload may be such that the Anzac centenary takes the lowest priority.

We may also be seeing the beginning of the end of Veterans’ Affairs as a separate portfolio. Veterans’ Affairs portfolio functions, including the Australian War Memorial, could fit smoothly into other portfolios.
