Honest History’s website has been tweaked

November 2015 marked two years since the Honest History website was launched by journalist and author, Paul Daley.

To mark this anniversary, we have made some changes to the look of our home page. There is less text but more thumbnails.

Please let us know what you think of the changes.

Talking of feedback, we looked at our Alexa metrics a couple of weeks ago. There are currently about 1000 million websites in the world. Honest History was ranked by popularity (presumably measured by visitors to the site or related statistics) at number 3 512 926 in the world, i.e. we were in the top 0.35 per cent of sites in the world.

We had improved 1 132 257 spots in the last three months; we still have a long way to go. And we dropped back a few hundred thousand spots last week.

We’ll just have to work harder.

We continue to pursue the same objectives.

As always, if there are resources we should add to the site or errors we should correct, please let us know.

We now have nearly 1700 unique items on the site, either as commissioned articles or annotated links to other resources. Many items include multiple links to other material.

Our navigation page gives you a rundown on how the site is structured or just tool around the menu bar or the list of links to themes.

We are also always on the lookout for new writers: pitch to us.

Finally, donations are always welcome. Our team is entirely voluntary but there are always expenses as well as things we would like to do to improve the service.
