The Director of the Australian War Memorial, Dr Brendan Nelson, has been made an Officer of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day honours. Dr Nelson’s award is for service to the Parliament of Australia, to the community, to the advancement of Australia’s international relations, and to major cultural institutions.
Honest History congratulates Dr Nelson and all other recipients of honours. The range of activity recognised by the awards testifies to the diversity of Australian personal stories and thus to the diversity of our history.
