Mnemosyne: online opportunity for feminist writers on the New South Wales South Coast

Mnemosyne is a new online journal wrangled by feminist writers on the south coast of New South Wales. It ‘celebrates the power and vitality of women’s storytelling and acknowledges the deep connection that many South Coast women, particularly Indigenous women, have with the bush, the mountains and the sea of the NSW South Coast’.

Mnemosyne only got under way last week but its website and the initial posts look great – and very coasty. Mnemosyne is looking for short pieces and appropriate pictures.

Mnemosyne was the Greek goddess of memory and mother of the Muses – goddesses of inspiration in literature, science and the arts. ‘Nemosanee’ is our rough attempt at pronouncing the name but there’s a link to the correct version. We wish Mnemosyne and her folk well.
