Honest History supporter Paul Daley nominated for Walkley

Paul Daley, Guardian Australia columnist, author (most recently of the novel, Challenge) and Honest History supporter has been nominated for a Walkley Award. The nomination is in the category ‘All media coverage of Indigenous affairs’ and is for Paul’s articles, ‘Why does the Australian War Memorial ignore frontier war?‘, ‘The bone collectors: a brutal chapter in Australia’s past‘ (longer version with link to Guardian piece), ‘Indigenous Australians in wartime: it’s time to tell the whole story‘ (includes link to article).

Paul launched the Honest History website on 7 November 2013, has written an article for us (with photographs by Mike Bowers) and has many of his pieces linked to our site. The Walkley winners will be announced on 4 December.

Stella Prize winner and Honest History supporter, Clare Wright, was long-listed for the Walkley Book Award for her book The Forgotten Rebels of Eureka. Congratulations to both Clare and Paul.
