Ann Moyal AM, scholar and historian, has died in Canberra after a short illness. She was 93.

This advice came from the National Library of Australia yesterday:

Dear Readers,

I have some very sad news to pass on – Ann Moyal died earlier this morning at Clare Holland House after a short battle with bowel cancer. She had been a Petherick Reader since 1993 after a Harold White Fellowship earlier that year. Her presence in the Reading Room will be sincerely missed.

I’ll inform you of funeral arrangements when they are known.

Andrew
