Examines the development and role of League of Nations Unions in Australia during the 1920s and 1930s and notes some parallel developments in Britain. Argues that internationalism during Australia in this era has not been sufficiently recognised. In particular, ‘the vitality of the League of Nations movement in Australia forces us to reconsider the place of internationalism in early 20th century Australia’.
