Honest History on Australian War Memorial WWI galleries

The Canberra Times (scroll down to ‘How Australians respond to history’) has published a letter from David Stephens for Honest History commenting on remarks by Australian War Memorial Director, Brendan Nelson, about the refurbished World War I galleries at the Memorial. In essence, the Director said Australians had ‘a responsibility’ to visit the new galleries. The Canberra Times report on his remarks had a different emphasis, more on pre-war and war impacts, which is encouraging. Honest History hopes to do a review of the galleries for posting next year.
