Bean counted in: new ACT federal electorate to be named after Charles Bean

Honest History previously posted an item on the redistribution process, including noting the long-term interest in Bean of the Chair of the Australian Electoral Commission, Dennis Cowdroy. The vote of the augmented Electoral Commission was 4-2 in favour of the name Bean.

Update 5 July: ACT MP Gai Brodtmann seeks further and better particulars on the decision.
